24 kt Fine Gold Leaf will readily adhere to a topically applied oil. Any moisturizing cream or lotion that contains an oil can be used as an "adhesive" over the skin. For maximum effect, skin cream or body oil should be applied first, then the gold leaf applied over it.
(mixing gold leaf with a cream to make a paint will obscure -it must be applied as a second layer). Because gold leaf is so malleable, it clings to every contour of skin in a luscious veil of light and color (do not apply to the immediate eye area). You can apply gold leaf in flecks, bold stripes, special motifs, even patterns that imitate jewelry. Since it is so thin, it will wear away with any friction caused by rubbing of hands or fabric: we recommend using gold leaf on bare skin free from clothing..
